My Background
Since I can remember, my mum, who was a WW2 refugee, always encouraged us to discuss our ideas. To improve them through conjecture and criticism.
Through all our discussions, no topic was more important than politics and the value of Democracy.
The Importance of Democracy
Because the objective reality is that only democracy has provided humanity with a path to peaceful change while protecting freedom, justice and our humanity.
My mums example was stellar and I want to share that with my family, my old friends and hopefully a whole lot of new ones.
The Challenge
Today our world and democracy face challenges like never before. The desire of some to replace democracy with their justified authority has always existed. In the past this manifested in wars. Today not only do we face physical threats or force backed by power but we also face deception, propaganda and censorship at unprecedented levels. The “Elites” seeking this “authority” over humanity have wealth on a scale never before known. And they have psychological tools of control backed by social media and traditional information channels.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to engage, share, conjecture and criticise our thoughts and ideas. To recognise problems and, hopefully to find solutions to maintain our humanity, our freedoms and real justice.
